Out of Egypt I Called My Son & Daughter
A conversation between Trai & Keege Elliott, guests; and Devaughn Williamson, host.
Trai and Keege’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of Jesus Christ. Before surrendering their lives to Him, they were trapped in lifestyles that only led to despair and destruction. Trai, once caught in cycles of homosexuality, addiction, and deep-rooted generational curses, found himself searching for purpose in all the wrong places. Keege, on the other hand, was entrenched in a life driven by wealth at any cost. She engaged in sugar-daddy relationships, a disguised form of prostitution, and battled severe addictions to weed and alcohol. Her pursuit of riches led her into a cycle of sexual slavery, leaving her feeling hopeless and lost.
Both reached a breaking point where they realized that their pursuits were leading them to death—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Keege, overwhelmed by the weight of her choices, found herself drinking Hennessy for breakfast, drowning in addiction, and contemplating suicide. Trai, similarly consumed by lust and brokenness, knew he was losing his soul. But in their darkest moments, Jesus came for them.
When Christ intervened, everything changed. Trai surrendered to the Lord on January 7, 2018, stepping into a journey of sanctification that led him out of bondage and into a life of purpose. Keege, realizing that she had tried everything except Jesus, gave her life to Him and began to see her chains break. Their desires were transformed—the hunger for wealth was replaced by a hunger for righteousness. Their addictions lost their grip, and the depression that once loomed over them was lifted by the love and redemption of Christ.
Today, Trai and Keege are not only free but thriving as ministers of the gospel. They have dedicated their lives to sharing their testimony, knowing that their past no longer defines them—Jesus does. They stand as living proof that no matter how deep the pit, God's grace is deeper. Their story is a beacon of hope, reminding us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. If God can redeem them, He can redeem anyone.
The road to freedom wasn’t instant or easy. Trai battled severe addiction, wrestling for two years before fully breaking free.
The enemy whispered lies, trying to convince him that transformation was impossible, that he would return to his old ways. But he clung to the Word of God, which became his anchor. Keege encouraged him to share his full testimony, no longer sugarcoating the reality of his past struggles with homosexuality and perversion. Together, they realized that true deliverance comes not just in leaving Egypt but in learning to live in the freedom Christ offers.
Every day became a conscious choice to follow Jesus. They learned that choosing Christ wasn’t a one-time decision—it was a daily battle, a daily surrender. They embraced the discipline of staying in the Word, worshiping, and rehearsing their victories rather than their failures. They began to see their testimonies not as sources of shame but as weapons against the enemy. The Bible declares that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, and they became living proof of that promise.
Trai has since shared his journey through a book that serves as a blueprint for deliverance. The cover itself tells a story—a man once silenced by Egypt, now blooming with life, testifying that no matter how deep the darkness, God’s light prevails. Keege stands beside him, a testament to God’s ability to redeem and restore not just individuals but marriages, intimacy, and purpose.
